I'm getting very distracted from the story I'm writing because I realized that the Ninth Doctor has a Northern accent, but it sounds different (to my untaught American ear) than Sam Tyler's accent. Every now and then I try a show on DVD that just sounds interesting. Randall & Hopkirk (deceased) is a British buddy-detective show from (I think) the 70's. When I saw the main premise, I knew I would have to at least try it out.
